A proxy vote is a vote cast by one person as a representative of an organisation, company or other person.
Are you representing an organisation or company?
A company must appoint a proxy as they need to appoint someone to vote on behalf of the company.
Are you an individual?
If you are voting for yourself you aren't required to appoint a proxy unless the creditor you are representing is a company or organisation.
Are you unable to attend the meeting?
If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can still register your vote by providing a proxy made in favour of the meeting chairperson who will vote on your behalf.
