To ensure that your creditor is included in any distributions made by a debtor company, it is important that you lodge your proof of debt with the insolvency practitioner. You can do this via the MYOB Creditors’ portal.
Log into the MYOB Creditors Portal and navigate to the My Debtors section. Locate the debtor that you wish to lodge you claim against and click Details to open that Debtors page.
It is possible to have multiple creditor claims against a debtor, and these creditor claims will be listed in the Claims tab. Click the Submit button alongside the creditor to start lodging the proof of debt for that creditor.
1. Enter the claim amount
Enter the total amount you are claiming for, and any comments you wish to make to support your claim.
2. Enter particulars of your debt
This section allows you to provide the Insolvency Practitioner with additional information or supporting documentation to help them adjudicate your claim.
You can either upload documents such as Invoices, Statements Contract to support your claim, or you can provide a detailed breakdown of your claim. Preferably you complete provide both but only one is required.
To upload documents to support your claim, tick the Box to state that your claims are outlined in the attached documents, and scroll to the bottom of the form where you can add the documents.
The easy method of adding documents is to simply drag the file from its current location and drop the file onto the Drop files here section of the form. The document is then listed in the Upload Queue, where you click Upload and the file will be transferred to the creditors portal.
To provide a detailed breakdown of the amount owed, you enter the date the debt was incurred, and particulars pertaining to the claim and the value of the claim. You can add as many lines as you need in this section, but the total of each line must match the value entered into the Claim section of the Proof of Debt.
3. Holding Security
This section requires you to confirm that you do not hold any Security over the debtors property in respect of your claim.
If you do hold security the Security Details section of the form should be completed.
4. Previous satisfaction
This section requires you to confirm that you have not received any payments is satisfaction of the amount you are claiming.
If you have received any satisfaction for the amount you are claiming this section needs to be completed with those details
This is a declaration of your authority to lodge a proof of debt for the creditor. You need to select the option that best applies to your circumstance.
When all section of the Proof of Debt have been completed, and any supporting documentation has been uploaded, click Next.
The final step is to read the declaration then click Submit to lodge the proof of debt.
